In a recently published literature review, we and our University of Chicago partners summarize research to date on different types of biases and how they show up in hiring processes and on the job, identify potentially promising interventions to address racial bias in employment processes, and suggest areas for future research. Established by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), RESEA aims to help Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimants return to work more quickly and promote integration of services with the broader workforce system.
