The Abt-led, USAID-funded Local Health System Sustainability Project works with the Ministry of Health to equip health workers with knowledge to address people’s concerns.
In Ghana, 75 percent of the country’s poorest citizens live in the north. Women of reproductive age, adolescent girls, and children under 5 are particularly at risk of food insecurity and poor health. To improve services for these vulnerable groups, USAID awarded Abt a five-year, $21.9 million contract to manage the Resilience in Northern Ghana II systems strengthening activity.
