Since 2018, Benin’s Private Health Sector Platform has partnered with an Abt-led program to raise the quality and availability of private services and products for mothers, babies and young children, a huge step to reducing maternal and child deaths and improving health outcomes in Benin. This platform now represents 20 private sector health associations, supports registration and accreditation for its members, and advocates for changes in relevant laws and regulations.
